Field Geologist

Job Summary
Perform field investigations, laboratory tests, sample reviews, data collection, routine calculations, and draft reports. Conducts subsurface investigations in the field including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment and soil gas.

Required Educational Level
  • B.Sc. Degree in Geology is essential.

  • 5 Years’ experience in Field of Soil Investigation.

  • Duties and Responsibilities in Detail
    • Inspects, investigates and records location, condition, obstruction, power cable, telephone, boundary fence and trenches.
    • Locates and records area for depot, offices, sample storage, field lab locates water supply and flow.
    • Collects & Identifies samples in clay and sand, using air & mud, and collects samples in rock, using diamond core bits.
    • Responsible for the whole technical and guiding the team group in the field. All samples and data field must give to the laboratory civil engineer who is in charge of the laboratory. The engineer can give help in working in the laboratory at the time when there is no drilling or site works, and more.
    • Supervises the laboratory and teamwork of mobile drill rig.
